Cremation in Port Coquitlam: what to expect

We care for families across Port Coquitlam, from Downtown and Lincoln Park to Mary Hill, Citadel Heights and Riverwood. Most families make their arrangements with us online, and we can meet you in person at our Aldergrove office or in your home, for an extra cost, if you prefer.

Bringing your loved one into our care

We answer the phone 24 hours a day and arrange the transfer from wherever your loved one is in Port Coquitlam. Transfer from a hospital is included in our package. A transfer from a home, hospice or care home adds $145.00.

Cremation takes place at our own crematorium in Aldergrove, about 42 km from Port Coquitlam City Hall.

After the cremation

We call you when the cremated remains are ready. You can pick them up at our Aldergrove office at no charge, or our staff can hand-deliver them to you in Port Coquitlam for $95.00.

The City of Port Coquitlam runs Port Coquitlam Cemetery at 4150 Oxford Street. It has in-ground cremation plots, a columbarium, and a scattering garden with a Memory Book where a name can be inscribed.

The fees in the city's cemetery brochure are for residents. Former residents and non-residents can call the cemetery for their rates.

Across BC, ashes can generally be scattered on Crown land and in provincial parks, with consideration for others. On private land, ask the owner first, and in towns and cities, local bylaws apply. We can also scatter the ashes at sea on your behalf for $95.00.
