Cremation in Hope: what to expect
We care for families across Hope, from downtown Hope and the Junction District to Kawkawa Lake, Silver Creek and North Ridge. You can make every arrangement online, or meet with us in person at our Aldergrove office or in your home, for an extra cost.
Bringing your loved one into our care
We answer the phone 24 hours a day and arrange the transfer from wherever your loved one is in Hope. Transfer from a hospital is included in our package. A transfer from a home, hospice or care home adds $145.00.

- Fraser Hope Lodge (Fraser Health long-term care at the Fraser Canyon Hospital site)
Cremation takes place at our own crematorium in Aldergrove, about 95 km from District of Hope Town Hall.
After the cremation
We call you when the cremated remains are ready. You can pick them up at our Aldergrove office at no charge, or our staff can hand-deliver them to you in Hope for $95.00.
The District of Hope runs Mountainview Cemetery at 65823 Kawkawa Lake Road, which has cremation plots and columbarium niches.
Across BC, ashes can generally be scattered on Crown land and in provincial parks, with consideration for others. On private land, ask the owner first, and in towns and cities, local bylaws apply. We can also scatter the ashes at sea on your behalf for $95.00.

The same as everywhere we serve: our Simple Cremation package, a direct cremation, is $995, or $1,122.15 all-in with the Consumer Protection BC fee, one death certificate and GST. See every line item.
