Our Simple Cremation package is $995.00. With the Consumer Protection BC fee, one provincial death certificate and GST, the total is $1,122.15. That is the full price for a cremation after a death in hospital, arranged online, and it is the same in every city we serve across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley.
A direct cremation is a cremation without a viewing, visitation or funeral service beforehand. That is our Simple Cremation package: we bring your loved one into our care, complete the paperwork and carry out the cremation at our own crematorium in Aldergrove. Your family is free to hold a memorial or celebration of life whenever and wherever you choose.
Only for extras that apply to your situation or that you choose. The most common are a transfer from a home, hospice or care home ($145.00), pacemaker removal ($75.00) and additional death certificates ($27.00 each). Every extra is listed on this page with its price.
Every licensed funeral provider in BC pays Consumer Protection BC, the province's independent, not-for-profit regulator, an administrative fee of $48.00 for each death it registers. It helps pay for licensing, inspections and complaint handling. We show it as its own line instead of folding it into our package price.
No. BC requires a rigid, combustible container for cremation, not a casket. A cardboard cremation container is included in our package, and you are welcome to choose an upgraded container or supply your own.
The Canada Pension Plan death benefit is a one-time payment of $2,500 to the estate, or to another eligible person, of someone who contributed to the CPP. For deaths since January 1, 2025, a top-up of another $2,500 is possible, but only if the person never received a CPP or QPP retirement pension or disability benefit and leaves no spouse or common-law partner eligible for a survivor's pension. If the estate and any responsible person, such as a spouse, cannot pay, the BC Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction may pay the necessary costs, but it must approve them before services are provided.
Transferring your loved one into our care from a hospital, sheltering, a cardboard cremation container, the cremation, a white cardboard urn, completing the documents, one death certificate, pickup of the cremated remains at our Aldergrove office, and personalized resources to help the executor with estate matters.
BC law does not allow a cremation until at least 48 hours after the death. Our standard time is 7 to 9 business days. A rush cremation within 4 days is available for $295.00.
We call you when they are ready. You can pick them up at our Aldergrove office at no charge, our staff can hand-deliver them anywhere from Hope to Horseshoe Bay for $95.00, or we can scatter them at sea on your behalf for $95.00.
Yes. An identification viewing of 15 minutes for 2 or 3 people is $195.00, with no preparation or dressing. For more time together, our Witness Cremation and Cremation with Visitation packages include a visitation in our chapel.
