When it comes to sustainability, our parent company, Alternatives Funeral & Cremation Services, has partnered with Bullfrog Power to make a positive impact on our natural gas, electricity and fuel usage in our Aldergrove Head Office. This includes our offices, crematorium and fleet vehicles! 

By working with Bullfrog, this is our first step into becoming North America's "greenest" cremation provider. We realize there's more work to be done, and we continually look at ways at reducing our environmental impact through sustainable and alternative ways. 

Across Canada, Bullfrog’s green electricity comes from a blend of wind and low-impact hydro power sourced from new Canadian renewable energy facilities. Bullfrog’s green natural gas is sourced from methane-capture projects situated at various Canadian landfills, waste water treatment facilities and anaerobic digestion sites. The organization sources green fuel from waste streams from food and feed manufacturing, and used cooking oils from restaurants and kitchen facilities.

Our green energy purchase is also helping to support to new, community-based renewable energy projects in our region and across Canada. That’s because Bullfrog Power uses its customers’ support to provide funding to these projects.
