Vernita-Jane GoodEagle Lahue passed away peacefully on April 26, 2024 at the age of 36 surrounded by family after a courageous, but brief fight from an infection.
Born on April 1, 1988 in BURNABY GENERAL. Vernita-Jane was a loving daughter of Gordon and June Lahue. She grew up in Maple Ridge, BC moving to Kelowna, Burnaby throughout her life.
Vernita-Jane was known for her love of horses, her cats, drawing, and family. She had a zest for life and will be remembered for her laugh, her style, kindness, sense of humour, creativity and love of family.
In addition to her loving partner, Mike and her two fur babies Starlight and Sunshine. She is survived by her family of Gordon (Father), her siblings: Daniel, Tammy, Darwin (Bailey), Lily-Jane (Vandad), Jordan, April, Michelle (Brendan), her biological sisters: Cecilia, Savannah and Nora Jane, and multiple nieces & nephews: Jonathan, Adam, Argento, RJ, Raven, Damion, Aiden, Alivia, Damion, Logan. Vernita-Jane will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life to honor and celebrate Vernita-Jane Goodeagle Lahue’s life will be arranged, time and date are pending.
Vernita-Jane was taken from us too soon, but will be forever remembered for the impact she made on the lives of those around her.
A celebration of Vernita-Jane Goodeagle Lahue’s
life will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at the Lochdale
community Hall in Burnaby BC. With a second Memorial Service held at the One
Gun Trailer, in Cluny, AB, on the Siksika Nation for the Families from Siksika
and Saskatchewan. On Friday, May 17th, 2024 at 1:00pm.
