Travis Bolton

May 31, 2022

It is with heavy hearts we announce that Travis Shawn Bolton has passed away suddenly on May 31, 2022.

Travis was born in Prince Rupert on Mar 8, 1967, to Vina and Frank Bolton, both deceased.  He graduated from Prince Rupert Secondary School.

Leaving behind, with loving memories, his beloved partner, Nicole Strang, older brother Sheldon Bolton, older sister Mona Powers (Randy), and son Damian Bright (Erica Martin) , as well as 4 grandchildren:  Sabe, Maria, Skylar and George.

Travis had a large family, all of whom will miss him deeply.  Uncle Tom Reece (Fran), Auntie Lianna Faust, Auntie Charl Reese, and Auntie Lilly Fisher (Darryl), Auntie Mona Danes  and respected elder and matriarch Theresa Lowther (Ralph), Auntie Bernice Bolton (Bea), Auntie Phyllis Bolton (Maggie), Auntie Lorriane Bolton (Lolly) and Uncle Matthew Bolton, as well as many extended family members on both sides.  Travis also had many close friends and chosen family in the Lower Mainland, where he lived many of his adult years, whose lives he touched deeply.  He was especially close to the Faust brothers Rob and Doug, as well as Chris Pahl.  A special mention to his work family at Barclay Restorations, where he was deeply appreciated and respected.

Travis is pre-deceased by his parents, Frank and Vina Bolton, maternal grandparents Herman and Helen Reece, paternal grandparents Edward and Susan Bolton, as well as close friend Dennis Zurowski.

Travis always had a smile and a hug for family and friends, and was well loved by any who had the honor of knowing him.  He was always ready to offer a helping hand whenever needed, and of course provide a good belly laugh to anyone he thought needed it.  He was kind, generous, and funny.  He was the gathering place for the neighborhood kids, especially to Maddie, Chelsea, Ashton, and Kiera.  He fostered youth for a time, mentoring young teenagers to grow into successful men.

Travis loved his motorcycle, anything Star Wars, thrift stores, and re-watching the same movies over and over again.  He took any available opportunity to see the people in his life as much as he could.

In keeping with Travis' final wishes, cremation has taken place.  A service will be scheduled for a later date in Prince Rupert, where he will be laid to rest with his parents.

Travis is now in the loving arms of his ancestors who passed before him, and surrounded by love and happiness.

In honor of Travis, carry his smile in your heart, and share it with others when they need it.

Travis you were and always will be the love of my life.  You were by far the best person I knew and treated me like I was the only woman in the world.  In our time together our relationship was beautiful and filled with love, respect, kindness, and laughter.  I will miss you by my side, but hold on to the love you left with me.  We will see each other again my love.  Until then, I will hold onto each and every beautiful memory.  I love you "him".  From "her". Rest easy sweetheart.  Your family is surrounding me with love and kindness.

~ Nicole

I'm so sorry for your loss. It pains my heart so much. Travis was such an example of brotherly love. Always reaching out to keep in touch and would give you the shirt off his back. He touched all of our lives and was the glue that kept so many relationships together. I miss him and will continue to miss him for the rest of my remaining days. I love you Travis. I'll see you when you wake up brother. John 5:28,29; Acts 24:15.
