Serge liked to present himself as ‘rough and tough’ but his kind heart always managed to shine through.  Here’s a photo that showed just that.

..my dear friend ever since I found out you were the one feeding my puppy on Main st in N Van in the early 70s. Happy lead me to your doorstep, remember it like it was yesterday.. :) You built a successful outboard repair business single handed out of an old bikers clubhouse...It was the best of times and we both lived the life of riley then and for many years while living next door to each other..  and in the 80s we both ended up in my hometown chilliwack area ..you fixed everything I broke, rebuilt my olde john deere from the frame up.. At times your life was a real trial.. but through the hard times you kept it together and never ceased to amaze me ..We sang happy birthday to you in Sept over the speaker phone then  talked as normal and I figured you were hanging in great..   ..Gonna miss you bud..give Hap a hug eh....love ya....:)
