Sandra Lee Foss, 79, of Vancouver, passed away on October 21 after a courageous battle with kidney disease.
Born on May 2, 1945, in Calgary, Alberta, to Raymond and Kathryn Foss, Sandra grew up alongside her younger brothers, Grant and Martin, in a loving family. Driven by her caring nature, she pursued a career in healthcare, graduating from The Holy Cross Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. Her career took her to England for further training before she settled into her professional home at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, where she dedicated the remainder of her career.
Sandra embraced life with boundless enthusiasm. She found joy in singing with various choirs and expressed her creativity by knitting and sewing her own distinctive wardrobe. An adventurous spirit, she loved to travel and explored many places throughout her life. Her vibrant personality, spontaneity, and originality brightened the lives of everyone she met, earning her many cherished friends.
Sandra’s legacy of living fully and pursuing one's passions lives on through her beloved son, Max. She will be missed deeply by her family and friends.
She will be remembered for her warmth, inspiration, and the indelible mark she left on those fortunate enough to know her.
