Ronald "Ron" Boldt

November 6, 2024

Ronald “Ron” Nathan Boldt of White Rock, BC was welcomed into the arms of his heavenly Father on November 6th at 58 years of age following a courageous battle with cancer.

Ron will be deeply missed by his children, Derek Cutler, Tristan Cutler (Jake), Hayden Boldt, and Jenna Boldt; their mother and close friend, Ruth Boldt; grandchildren, Cora and Cohen Cutler, and Emma and Ryder Burley; parents, Alfred and Hedwig (Heidi) Boldt; brothers, Paul Boldt (Sherry) and Robert Boldt (Denise) and their families; and sister, Gloria Nickel (Henry); as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Ron was born October 1, 1966, in Langley, BC, the youngest of four children to Alfred and Heidi Boldt. He completed his elementary and high school education in Vernon, BC. Following high school, he joined his family on a near year long venture to Walnut, California. Upon their return to Canada, they settled in the lower mainland and Ron continued to live in various communities in the lower mainland until his passing.

Ron was an accomplished finishing carpenter. He spent his early adulthood working alongside his dad, learning from him, and honing his skills in residential construction and renovation, specializing in custom stairways. Ron left construction for close to a decade to work as a Wireman/Purchaser and Meter Reader for BC Hydro/Accenture Business Services. He returned to finishing carpentry for his final chapter, working for various millworking companies throughout the lower mainland and completing numerous residential renovation projects under his own company, RB Creative Contracting. He enjoyed his trade and found it difficult to hang up his tools when he wasn’t able to use them any longer.

Ron was athletic and adventurous. In his youth, he played on as many sports teams/participated in as many activities as he possibly could, including dragon boat racing, basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, softball, and his all-time favourite, volleyball (sometimes to the extreme, playing on as many as five different adult volleyball teams during a year). He also refereed youth soccer as a youngster, and his experience with challenging sport parents did not stop him from volunteering to coach/assistant coach his own children’s baseball, basketball, soccer, and volleyball teams later on. He took his coaching responsibilities seriously, spent countless hours preparing, and did everything he could to help the youth he coached have fun and achieve their personal best.

Following in his brother Robert’s footsteps, Ron received his Open Water Scuba Diver Certification and had many fond memories scuba diving with his brother and others. Ron went on mission trips to the Philippines with his church, and to Micronesia (Yap Island, Guam, and The Northern Mariana Islands—Saipan, Tinian & Rota) with Youth With A Mission Discipleship Training School – Maui.

Ron will be remembered for his sense of humour, infectious smile, and fun-loving personality.

“Though He brings grief, He will show compassion, so great is His unfailing love.” ~ Lamentations 3:32 ~

A celebration of Ron’s life will be held at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, November 20th at Town + Field Church, 20719 48 Avenue, Langley, BC.

Messages of Condolence

Our hearts break while our spirits thank God for bringing Ron to glory with Him where there is no more suffering and a fullness of life in the presence of the Almighty God.  Heaven's gain is our loss.  We are thankful for the time we had with Ron and the great memories we will always hold close.

~ Denise Boldt

Our heartfelt condolences to the whole family.  We have you all in our prayers.  The good news is what David wrote in Psalm 116 verse 15 precious in the side of the Lord is a death of his saints.

We may suffer earthly struggles, but our faith will bring us to an eternal rest with peace and joy that be far beyond this world. That brings us into the comfort zone that we sorrow, but not as those who have no hope.
