Messages of Condolence

My dearest and deepest condolences to all those touched by Aunt Retas love. I still have in beautiful condition a lovely pillow which she embroidered my name and a pastel rainbow. I love it so much. I especially remember a fun time banging pots on new years eve and I broke her wooden spoon.

That was a silly time. I remember her as a very kind caring lady. What a sad time for all and my kindest love to all as we remember the loving memories of a kind woman.  With Love, Angie ๐Ÿ’—

Reta was a fighter, I believe instilled in her from her parents especially her mother Nell, a great lady whom I miss very much. Reta never gave up trying to do the right thing regardless of her physical pain. Reta believed in God and no doubt she has made it to the other side. Reta a loyal friend and interesting conversationalist. Long winded but worth it. I have to go now then another half hour passes. As for food, Yeah I'm there. Do you want to come for dinner? Yes was a no brainer. I enjoyed discussing  sports with Reta: especially the Toronto Blue Jays Baseball team, curling, and Tennis. I miss playing cards and board games with Reta and Ron on Saturday nights at there old house in Maple Ridge. Reta was an animal lover and I miss all their old pets through the years (circa 1985-2023). The dogs: Shivers, Lucky, and Chance. The Cats: Smokey, Daisy, Duke, and Sassy. I have fond memories of Fishing trips to Lac La Hach and eating freshly caught Kokanees  (landlocked Salmon). My life was bettered by knowing Reta and I miss her Deeply. I am reminded of a famous quote: Some people come into our lives and quickly go...Some stay for awhile and leave footprints on your hearts...and we are changed forever. Thankyou Reta for being one of these people.

Today would have been Ritaโ€™s birthday. Iโ€™ve moved away from Maple Ridge, but I always called Rita on her birthday. She was my neighbour  for 15 years. She was always there for me when I needed someone (My other mother โค๏ธ).  I &am thankful for all the love and support she gave me.  I will always think of her on her birthday ๐Ÿ’.
