Horne, Philip (Randy)
January 1946- September 2020
We are all saddened by the passing of Randy Horne on September 30 in Langley, BC
Randy leaves his daughter Cindy (Ward), son Brooks (Beatrice), wife Cheryl, brother Brad, sister Judy, grandchildren Amie, Ellie (Spencer), Hannah (Jared) and Meah and great-grandchildren Christian, Emeline, Annalivia and Grizzly.
Gramps was always there, always making us laugh and sometimes groan with his "Dad" jokes and not-so "Dad" jokes. He taught us to run, grow things, camp, fish, throw a knuckle ball and so much more. He was a softball coach and soccer coach to us and was the grandkids' biggest cheerleader on the sidelines. He enjoyed his garden and a nice hot day and a football game (or any other sport!) on a rainy one. He loved his family as we loved him. He will be missed.
The family will have a small private memorial to remember and celebrate Randy's life.

You are invited to leave a personal message for the family.
We are so sorry to hear this sad news of your fathers passing. He was a great guy, very athletic, and fun to be with as we were all trying to learn how to be good parents. We found a great friend and neighbour in Randy when we moved into our home in Langley and will think of him fondly. Our deepest condolences.

Very sad to hear this. I have many fond memories of him coming through the gate in the fence between our yards with that same smile in the picture.
I still think back to his Superbowl parties back in those days as how they should be. Those days were so long ago but when I see his smile I am taken right back there.
RIP Mr. Horne.

I'd like to pass along my condolences to Brooks, Cindy, Cheryl and the rest of Randy's family. Although it's been many years since I've seen Randy, having grown up beside Randy, Cheryl, Brooks and Cindy, I have only fond memories, and the comments in the obituary are exactly how I remember him...always friendly, genuinely happy to see you, and sure to say your name with a smile...
My thoughts to the family,
Dave Bernard
