Patrick Alan Turner

February 22, 1958 - October 15, 2022

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick Alan Turner at the age of 64 after a brief illness.

Patrick is survived by his sisters, Jennifer Ste Marie (Ron) and Louise Kilianski (Harry) as well as his nieces and nephews, Mark Ste Marie (Jiye Kim), Damarise Ste Marie, Anika Ste Marie, Antoine Ste Marie and Alexa Ste Marie. He is predeceased by his mom, Nina Geraldine Turner (nee Gonzales) and dad, Alexander Robert Turner.

Patrick was born in North Vancouver, near Deep Cove, where he went to school, graduating in 1976 from Windsor Secondary. He went on to earn a diploma in Graphic Illustration and Design at Capilano College, graduating in 1982. He spent all his life in the Vancouver/Lower Mainland area.

Art was Patrick's passion and he had many friends in the art community. He was known internationally for his illustration work, which was detailed and hyper-realistic. He worked on many advertising campaigns as an airbrush illustrator and later moved into 3D imaging. Pat Turner Studios, in Vancouver, was where he spent most of his days.

His friends and the hospital staff describe him as unique and authentic and especially appreciated his sense of humour, which was with him to the end. He will be missed.

Messages of condolence can be entered below.

A gathering to remember Patrick will be planned for the spring of 2023.

You are invited to leave a personal message for the family.

I am sorry to hear of Patrick’s passing . Went to school with him right from elementary to high school. I grew up across the street from his family on friar crescent and have many fond memories. My condolences to his family.
