In loving memory of Patricia Cecilia Martinez Rojas, we regret to inform you of her passing on January 26, 2024.
Patricia Cecilia Martinez Rojas was born in Coquimbo, Chile, on July 29, 1956. She was an independent, loving and strong woman; a survivor of a dictatorship, machismo, and abuse. More than that, she was funny, hardworking, generous; a true champion and ardent supporter of the rights for the less fortunate until her very last few days.
She lost her battle with cancer on January 26th, 2024 and fought hard until the very end. We witnessed her strength and unwavering fight to live longer after her diagnosis to have more time with her grandchildren and children. In the end she was able to gift us with three additional, beautiful years. She was able to watch her grandchildren Aria Luna and Benicio grow, and comfort and teach her family (Christian Guerino and wife Olivia Mennell, Suzanne Guerino and husband James Kutt, Pamela Ramirez, Camilo Ramirez Martinez), how to properly celebrate and cherish her after she left us.
She was beloved by many people and would have done anything for those she held close to her heart.
Her children and grandchildren were everything to her, and she was everything to us, too. We will greatly miss her, but will take comfort in knowing she is finally resting in peace after a lifetime full of struggle and hardship.
