November 2, 2025
It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Murray David Harrison, 68, of New Westminster, BC, on November 2, 2025.
Born on October 24th, 1957 in Surrey, BC, to Anne and Dave Harrison, Murray lived his young years in Surrey. He graduated from Queen Elizabeth High School in 1975. Murray loved playing hockey as a boy and later instilled the love of the game as a coach for Surrey Minor Hockey. Later, Murray played slo-pitch and developed a love for golf; he would find a way to play wherever he was.
Murray loved to travel with his wife and enjoyed a number of cruises, Christmases on Maui or in Palm Springs. He was also a beloved dog-dad to several dogs over the years.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years (together for 38 years), Bev Hunter, Ella, (his cherished dog), his brother Gerald (Jo-Anne), nephews Jeff (Stevie), Joel (Heather), a great-nephew and great-niece, sister-in-law Brenda (Dennis) niece Shannon (Adrian), nephew Scott, sister-in-law Sandra, nephews Sean and Ryan, brother-in-law Ken (Caroline), niece Christina and nephew Curtis. Murray is also survived by an aunt, many cousins and friends.
We are devastated to lose such a kind and gentle spirit so soon and hope he has found the peace he so desperately sought. He will remain in our hearts always.
Murray is predeceased by his parents, grandparents, several aunts and uncles.
No service is planned at this time. A gathering of family and friends may be planned for a later date.
You are invited to leave a personal message for the family.
