Goldie and Marguerite were like second parents to my late wife Ella (Livingston) and were the gathering place for the young people. They were Uncle Goldie and Auntie Marguerite to all of us. Uncle Goldie was an autobody man and rebuilt a 1969 Ford Falcon 289 V8 for Ella. That was our car for several years and the last car I could actually do my own work on. I only wish Ella could have been at the Remembrance Service.
One further item, no one could sing The Holy City like Auntie Marguerite. So many times she sang it at North Battleford and every time I was left breathless and in awe of her powerful voice
