Lee-Ann Klassen

June 16, 2022

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lee-Ann Nina Klassen, June 16, 2022, at the age of 56. Cancer was the enemy, and she fought it with Superpower Strength!

Lee-Ann was born in Grande Prairie, AB on December 4, 1965. Lee-Ann grew up in Red Deer, AB. In her mid- twenties she moved out to the Vancouver area, where she made a home in Surrey, BC for herself and many of her fur babies. Her pride was in the property she owned and the oasis she created there. Her neighborhood also became part of her family, she cared strongly about keeping it a great place to live.

Lee-Ann's strong work ethic, her stubbornness, her need for adventure, and giving heart made her an independent, strong woman from an early age. She made choices that forever impacted those around her for the better. Lee-Ann will be in our hearts forever.

The Rose Beyond the Wall

A rose once grew

Where all could see,

Sheltered beside a

Garden wall,

And as the days

Passed swiftly by,

It spread its branches,

Straight and tall...

One day, a beam of

Light shone through

A crevice that had

Opened wide

The rose bent gently

Towards its warmth

Then passed beyond to

The other side

Now, you who deeply

Feel the loss,

be comforted-the rose

Blooms there-

Its beauty even greater

Now, nurtured by

God’s own loving care

Lee leaves a hole in our heart. I feel love and gratitude for the special years we had with our dear friend.  We were always making plans for more advenures together both abroad and near home.  I will take Lee's "get it done" attitude with me wherever I go.   Lee was a very special person and we love her deeply.

Lee was really special & close friend & neighbour to Diane & I. We went on many adventures, concerts & lots of hikes together. Lee loved nature, star gazing, bright colours, arts & crafts. The annual solstice, for the last three years, saw the three & sometimes Rosco too, enjoying a hike to some beautiful west facing vista to take in the sunset with a picnic basket of tasty food & of course some red wine. It was a celebration of another year gone by but most of all to our great friendship. Lee, thanks for all of the love & all of the many laughs. The twinkle in your eyes, your laughter & precious smile will always be with us. We think that you came to visit us in our front yard as a beautiful butterfly on the 17th to let us know that you were o.k.  Fly far, fly free my friend.

~ Stu Barker

My deepest condolences and big hugs to everyone ❤️

It is with a sad heart that we write this memory for the passing of our good friend, Lee.

We have known Lee for over 20 years and enjoyed her company once, twice every month for our lunches.

It was such fun. We would catch up on what each of us was up too. It was most enjoyable. We Love you and will miss you very much.

Wherever you are Dear Lee – know that we will think of you everyday and wish you were here with us.

God needed you now for a purpose, only time will let us know, what that purpose is.

God Bless you Lee.  Rest In Peace

Forever – Norm and Sandy

Our deepest condolences to your family. We met Lee-Ann when she visited Costa Rica. It was a short time we shared but enough to tell what a special person she was. She did her good part on earth and now it’s time for her to be where everything is perfect.
