John Edward Wynne, born September 19, 1955, in Montreal, Quebec, passed away peacefully at his home in South Surrey on May 4, 2026.
John will be remembered as a devoted father, grandfather, and family man whose quiet strength and steady presence anchored those around him. He is lovingly survived by his son, James (Kristan), and daughter, Lysa, as well as his cherished grandchildren, Aynslee, Parker, and Juliette, who brought him immense pride and joy.
Born in Montreal, John moved with his parents to White Rock in his teenage years and spent the rest of his life in White Rock and South Surrey. He carried with him a lifelong appreciation for family, resilience, and hard work.
John began his career as an electrician before becoming an elementary school teacher. He dedicated more than 30 years to the Surrey School District, where he made a lasting difference in the lives of many students and families.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. A private family service will be held in his honour.
