In Loving Memory of John Victor Simser

With heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of our brother John Victor Simser on June 24, 2025 in North Vancouver.

Born in London, Ontario, John was the middle child of Edna and John Simser. John lived in London Ontario, for the 1st year of his life, The family then moved to Toronto Ontario, where  John spent the next 8 years. The family then moved to Burlington Ontario, where he spent his youth being involved with hockey and all the other things that boys get up to when their parents aren’t looking.

In 1976 John and a friend decided to leave the bright light of Ontario for the quiet life, or so he thought, of British Columbia.  John was an avid tennis player and he loved to go for long walk. Wine was one of his many passions. He loved to come home from work and enjoy a glass of wine and a cigar out on the balcony.

John is survived by his sister Linda (Willie) in Ontario, niece Kira in Ontario, nephew Greg in Ontario, and his brother Michael (Jennie) in Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia.

John was predeceased by his parents John Simser and Edna Simser (Francis).

In lieu of flowers, the family welcome donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in John’s name.

You are invited to leave a personal message for the family.
