James (Jim) Wilfred Holloway
March 17, 1931 - January 24, 2021

It is with great sadness that the Holloway & Guy families announce the passing of their loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandpa Jim Holloway, at the age of 89.

Jim was predeceased by his children Karen Guy 1991, Robert Guy 2018, Jillian Leckie 2020 & sister June Sulina 2020.

Jim leaves behind his best friend & loving wife of 34 years Myrna, 4 children, 18 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and many great friends.

Jim was born in Unity Saskatchewan but lived on the Isle of Wight, England from 1934-1953 when he moved back to Canada and started a family. He arrived from England as a trained heavy duty diesel mechanic and was an expert in the field until he retired in 1994.

Jim was a great outdoorsman and loved camping and fishing. He was known to be an excellent curler and also enjoyed shuffleboard and golf in his later years. He was always happy to be puttering on any engine or motor and seemed to be able to fix anything.

During their retirement Jim & Myrna spent the warm months in the Cariboo on Lac des Roche and headed south in the winter to Yuma, Arizona where they joined many friends where he was sure to entertain with his witty sense of humor and infectious laugh.

Our families would like to make a special thanks to the caregivers at Langley Lodge for the compassionate care they gave to Jim in his final days.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Langley Lodge or a charity of your choice.

What can I say Jim became a very good friend (family) .. We have so many great memories of him ., When we took over Peaceful Cove I kinda had know idea how much work was involved .. anything mechanical boat motors , weed  whackers , chainsaws , lawn mowers, and everything else that could possible break which was pretty much everything ..  I always new Jim could fix it after with a few swear words and shaking of his head (god dam it) he'd take care of it and fix it better than new..He was so good to my whole family especially  Jordan who because of his age really got to know Jim well.. I had many good days fishing with him and lots and lots of laughs .. we will miss you Jim thanks for all the great memories.  Love the Lings
