Ioannis Verozinis

July 29, 2024

With deep sadness and heavy heart, I inform you of the passing of Ioannis (Yiannis) Verozinis, my father. Ioannis’s passing marks the end of a remarkable life that spanned 76 years, from May 25,  1948 to July, 29 2024. Born with an adventurous spirit, he spent his young adult years exploring the world as a merchant marine. His journeys took him to distant lands and diverse cultures, shaping his open-minded and compassionate outlook on life. Eventually, he found his way to Vancouver, Canada, a place he would call home for the rest of his life.

While living in Canada, Ioannis’s sister, Archonto, who lived in Toronto, introduced him to the love of his life, Georgia. Their undeniable bond led to a beautiful marriage that stood as a testament to their enduring love and commitment. Together, they raised three sons who inherited their father’s zest for life and a deep sense of care for others. As a family man, Ioannis was dedicated to ensuring the happiness and well-being of his loved ones, always putting their needs above his own. Ioannis was a proud father and husband and, most of all, a proud grandpa to four grandchildren, whom he cherished.

Ioannis’s legacy is of kindness, generosity, and unwavering support for those around him. His friends and family remember him as a man who would go to great lengths to bring joy and comfort to others. Through his words of encouragement, acts of kindness, or simply his warm presence, Ioannis uniquely made everyone feel valued and cherished. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit and the lessons he imparted will continue to inspire and guide them.

As Ioannis always said, “ALWAYS TREAT OTHER PEOPLE IN THE EXACT SAME WAY THAT YOU WANT TO BE TREATED!”

You are invited to leave a personal message for the family.
