September 28, 2022
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Gloria J Peters, age 67, of Aldergrove BC. She battled declining health for many years, and said her final goodbye on September 28th 2022, with her loving husband Charlie Peters by her side.
Gloria could be stern and stoic, but she was also hilarious with the most contagious laugh. She was brilliantly clever, with a dark and witty sense of humour (a shared family trait). She was filled to the brim with goodness, light, and kindness. She was an avid sewer and a bit of a reformed fabric hoarder. She cared for her family deeply, and helped so many people over the years. She wasn’t particularly religious, but she’d give you her classic stink-eye if you said “god dammit” in her presence. We will never know another soul like hers, and we are so grateful to have had her in our lives.
She is survived by her husband, Charlie Peters, sons Scott Chalmers (Virginia Ramunda), Jason Chalmers, daughters Crystal Peters (Jason Gaffney) and Nicol Christie (Bee Espana). Grandchildren Solee, Hope, Aidan, Poppy, Hansel, Jax, Dominic, Keara, Katie and Robbie. She grew up in a large extended family in Manitoba to the Monkman family. Special thanks to Joanne Bonar for always being by hers and the families side.
You are invited to leave a personal message for the family.
Just like your nickname another glow of light, we know you will be watching from the other veil of light. Now you're going to embrace us like the spirited person you were.
To All Who knew Gloria! Sorry for your loss! Only heard stories of Gloria from Aunt Nettie, sounds like she was loved alot by all.

Oh My Goodness, on a whim, on Oct. 30/17 I contacted Gloria through Facebook (I had been searching for her for quite some time). She answered back and said she would contact me later and I never heard back so I knew something was off. I knew Gloria from school in St. Pierre (she knew me as Linda Coughlin), and a few sleepovers at the Monkman home - we sometimes hung out together. She was the most beautiful person I've ever met. Her kindness, generosity, loving and gentle nature were such that I have never quite met anyone as special as she was. I've missed talking with her. I'm so saddened to find out that our talks will be in memory only. Although this is late, my sincere condolences to all who loved and cherished her, I know I did.
