Just found out about Don's passing, and I wanted to send a note.
Donnie was my first business partner, and the man that brought me to Canada right after I got my MBA. We consulted together at DMK&A for hotels and Inns; then developed Mr. Greenjeans and Ginsberg + Wong together. He was a smart, articulate, creative guy and a good friend. More than anyone, he helped me get my start in the restaurant business for which I'll always be greatful.

We just heard the news of Donald's passing today. Our sincerest condolences to the family.
Judith, Keiko and I knew Professor Kaplan and Enzo from the dog park. He always had a kind word, a funny story or a life lesson to share. He was truly a brilliant mind, a kind man, liked by everyone. I always looked forward to seeing him and sharing a laugh, a story, and a joke or two.
One day you will run to Donald in heaven and holding you tightly he will whisper, "this is forever." Look for Donald in all the things you loved and that is where you will find him. God's Blessings to you and yours, we are thinking of you and Enzo during this time. The neighborhood will never be the same.
