Daniel Gordon Carter

July 12, 2026

Daniel Gordon Carter (June 28, 1963 - July 12, 2026) passed away after a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Janet, children Peter (Kelsey), Devin (Amanda) & Kelli. His mother Elizabeth, brothers Doug (Brenda) & Bruce (Sarah) and sisters Sheana (David) & Brenda (Rob) along with many nieces & nephews.

Gordon will be missed by many as he made friends wherever he went. He loved getting friends & family together for games night and for family BBQ’s.

Gordon loved driving on the open road.  He looked forward to getting his classic cars out when the weather permitted and going to the weekly car meets and comparing stories of restoration with other car lovers. Gordon & Janet looked forward to the bi-annual Jellybean cruises where they would be out driving back roads for hours and gathering around telling stories in the evening before the adventure starts again in the next morning.

Gordon also had a love of water and couldn’t wait to get away to the Okanagan a few times each summer for boating, jet skiing or floating the canal.

It is hard to put into words who Gordon was as a person. He was a hard worker, and had so many interests from woodworking to automotive to working out in the yard; there was always a project to complete. He wasn’t great showing his love, but you knew that he loved you because he lent a helping hand without having to be asked.

Gordon’s final days were spent surrounded by family sharing stories, lots of laughs, and listening to his favourite music. Gordon now joins his daughter (Emily) and his father (Brian) and his many pets.

There will be a Celebration of Life on August 22nd from 1:00-4:00pm. Everyone is welcome to come and share stories and memories of Gordon.  More details to come
