It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dale Shearar, a wife, mother and friend to many. After 14 years battling Huntingtons disease, Dale died peacefully at home surrounded by her family on February 2, 2024.
She is survived by and fondly remembered by her husband, Stewart, her son Ryan, her step-children Robert (Lindsay) and Nikki (Alex), her granddaughters Georgie and Layla, and her 4 sisters, Derilyn (John), Deirdre (Bruce), Debbie, Diane (Al), as well as her nieces and nephews.
Dale loved the outdoors and spent her weekends hiking and jogging. In her prime, she was an avid adventurer who loved scuba diving, sky diving, karate and travelling the world. It was well known that she could throw a good party and many of her favourite moments were spent at her family home in West Vancouver.
Dale was courageous throughout her battle and made the most of the time she had here with all of her loved ones. She will be forever missed by the Shearar, Meyer and Duggan families.
The family will announce details for a celebration of life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Paul Sugar Palliative Support Foundation.
The family would like to acknowledge the incredible support provided by family and friends over the last few years, with special thanks to Eryn, Krista and Jesse for taking such great care of her.
We love you, Dale and know you have found peace.
