November 19, 2020
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the passing of Catherine Miller on November 19, 2020 at Chilliwack Hospital. Catherine was born on April 21, 1941 in Ardrie, Scotland and emigrated to Canada in 1965. She will be lovingly missed and remembered by her husband James, daughters Audrey, Louise, (Mark), her grandsons Colton and Nicholas and her son Kevin. She is survived by her sister Margaret (Grant) and many nieces and nephews across Canada and Scotland. She spend 35 years of her career in the healthcare field at SMH Hospital in Surrey where she will be remembered for her feisty, "get the job done attitude". She was generous, fun-loving, and full of life. She loved all animals big and small and it showed in her daily life, where she could be seen strolling around Harrison Hot Springs with her giant Bullmastiff (Angus). She enjoyed sailing, spending hours in the garden and camping as a proud member of the Good Sam's Club where she spent many happy hours with her club friends. Catherine will be dearly missed by all that loved and knew her. After a few years with Alzheimer's disease, we would like to think Catherine's passing has brought her to a place of peace. We love you and will always cherish our memories of you. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Pacific Assistance Dogs Society (PADS) or the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
You are invited to leave a personal message for the family.

Auntie Kittybags or as Jane would say her adopted mom. Kit was always there for the family and very protective of us all you mess with any one of us and you had Kit to answer to. Kit loved nothing more than to have a huge group of us kids around to keep her on her toes but god help us if we got out of hand. When we landed in Vancouver in 1988 with me joining our large extended family here Jane knew only Gordon, Linda and the family, but true to her calling Kit took Jane under her wing and guided her. through the loud and rowdy Miller clan. When Jane and I experienced our own personal loss Kit was there ever the nurse to make sure that Jane was getting the rest she needed and that Jim took me out of the way. Kit had an infectious laugh and was always in the thick of things when we were together.
Kittybags we miss you but know that you and Jim are setting the rugs on fire with the rest of the gang.
Love Graeme & Jane
