We are saddened to announce the passing of Bruce Helgason on May 16, 2026, of natural causes at the age of 70. He is predeceased by his father Allan G. Helgason (Mary), his sister Cyndy Christie (Ian), and his aunt Violet Ferron. He is survived by his loving mother Mary Helgason, brother Winston Helgason (Alexia), niece Arabella (Brendan), and nephew Magnus. Bruce's laugh and humour, his love of baseball cards and dedication to caring for his mom will never be forgotten. From his days at Yellow Cab and the CP Police, to his years as a realtor, Bruce loved his city. He is already deeply missed by his family and close friends.

Sorry to hear of your brother’s passing, Winston. Bruce was the source of endless entertaining stories and anecdotes growing up. He was also incredibly quotable … “hey, hey, hey - no rough stuff, Winnie” and “do you know this Samoan?” Great memories. My condolences to you and Mary and your family.
