A tribute for Ann Corcoran, wonderful wife, mother & friend
We lost a legend this week…
My Mom, Ann, died peacefully on Tuesday surrounded by her loving family. She passed with grace and on her terms after a hard battle with pneumonia.
She was a great Mom, a wonderful friend and a kick ass person. She was my soul sister and I was so, so lucky to have her. I am deeply fortunate that she was my Mom and heartfelt BFF.
While I am heartbroken, I am not alone in this; we are holding onto each other. Our hearts are filled with gratitude: gratitude for being able to say goodbye and for having the chance to express all those important words and feelings as a family. We are heartbroken, but we will always cherish the life we built together. She was a truly awesome lady.
Together with my Dad, my sister and brother-in-law, Ciara and Andrew, and their son, her loving grandchild Ben, we are very thankful for all the support we received - the staff at Evergreen, the doctors and nurses at Lions Gate Hospital, and the many friends who visited and helped us during this time.
We remember Ann for the full, beautiful life she lived, a life defined by her deep devotion as a wife, the boundless warmth she gave us as a mother, and the professional and personal milestones she achieved. Beyond this, we will always treasure her radiant spirit, her extraordinary culinary talent that brought us all together, and her eye for style.
We’re planning a Celebration of Life deserving of her and the incredible life she lived. Stay tuned! 💕✨
With love and gratitude,
Denise, Colm, Ciara, Andrew & Ben

Deepest heartfelt condolences to you all. Denise, your obituary was touching and sweet. Ann was so welcoming to me when I visited and I still firmly believe that she made the best tiramisu. Huge hugs to you all, love Craig and Carla Docherty ❤️

Ann was a warm, smart, beautiful, fun and fun-loving woman! I feel lucky to have known her, and send big love to daughters Denise, Ciara (and family) and her lifelong partner Colm. Such a great family, who clearly loved Ann deeply — thank you for sharing her. Will never Ann’s dry wit, or the twinkle in her eye. ❤️

I have the most wonderful memories of Anne from our trip to Cuba with Denise. Early in our journey, a barista at our hotel affectionately dubbed her “La Momma,” and the name stuck.
Together, we all shared unforgettable adventures, beautiful beaches, historic sights, and tucked-away bars filled with music, wine, coffee, and desserts. Anne brought warmth, laughter, and joy wherever she went. She was truly a gift to everyone who had the privilege of spending time with her.
I will cherish those memories always. I will miss you, La Momma.
We lost an exceptional human when Ann got her wings. 'Mrs. C' was gracious, thoughtful, intelligent, adventurous, open minded, creative, generous, good humoured and more. I'm forever grateful to have been among the many whose lives she touched and was always made to feel welcome in her home.
Sending my love and my heartfelt condolences to Denise, Ciara, 'Mr. C' and all who knew and loved her.
